Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a Contracts Manager 2 to lead a Contracts team within the F-35 Program. This leadership role is on-site in Redondo Beach, CA or El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will report directly to the Senior Contracts Manager for the F-35 organization.Responsibilities Include:Build and lead a team of highly motivated and effective contracts professionals, providing strong leadership, training, guidance, and career development to direct reports;Administers contracts and guides team in all facets of contract administration support, including: compliance with contractual requirements, interprets contract requirements for program and functional leadership, drafts and transmits formal correspondence, coordinates submittals with all stakeholders, and reviews and executes contract modifications;Serves as the primary interface with the customer;Leverage data analytics to drive compliance, timeliness, and inform business area decision-making;Identify, develop, and recommend risk mitigation strategies to address complex issues;Conducts proposal preparation for sole source proposals; serves as the lead for the proposal contracts volume and partners closely with Pricing & Estimating and the Capture team to develop and implement proposal strategies;Reviews and provides feedback on customer RFIs, draft RFPs, and RFPs;Guides the program and Contracts organization on the implications of model contract terms and conditions;Facilitates the proposal review process and ensures internal reviews are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures; partners with P&E and the Capture team to create briefings for internal reviews; andDevelop process improvements and cultivate new resources to drive efficiencies across the portfolio.Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter expertsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, and negotiating;Ability to travel 10% of time as required to support major programsOur Leaders at Northrop Grumman live our values daily and encourage our teams to do the same. Finally, we pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 7 years of experience in Contracts or a related field OR Master's degree from an accredited university with 5 years of experience in Contracts or a related fieldExperience with FAR and DFARS and prior experience with defense contracts or subcontracts with a variety of contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price, etcExperience with proposal developmentExperience presenting and negotiating to all levels of managementExperience negotiating and administering various government contract types of varying sizes and types of agreementsKnowledge and understanding of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations. Government defense contracting experience with the USG and/or major defense contractor customersExperience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Teams and PowerPointMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a US government secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Prior leadership experience, either in a supervisory, team, or project lead role, and demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talentPrior experience working on a large sole source subcontractor proposalExcellent decision-making skills that support resolution of complex problems while minimizing risk to the CorporationWe offer phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly inclusive environment! We also offer exceptional benefits/healthcare, a 9/80 schedule, and a great 401K matching program.Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
