Founded in 1953, Aerosonic has grown to be a leader in aviation instrumentation and avionics equipment – including air data systems, standby displays, digital and mechanical standby instruments, sensors and probes. Our customers include the major manufacturers of today’s civil, military and business fixed wing and rotorcraft platforms as well as all branches of the US military forces. We are currently seeking an onsite Assistant Controller for our Clearwater, FL facility. We do not offer hybrid or remote work and all employees must be a U.S. Person.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategies and ensuring operational excellence. You'll partner closely with the Vice President of Finance providing insights that drive business decisions while honing your skills in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes
• Collaborating on budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to support company growth
• Managing audit processes and liaising with external auditors
• Driving process improvement initiatives across the organization
• Providing day-to-day oversight of accounts payable, receivable and general ledger activities
• Generating and distributing monthly reporting packages for internal stakeholders explaining monthly variances
• Driving efficiencies through actual v budget variance analysis
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including GAAP, SOX and other relevant policies
• Mentoring junior staff fostering a culture of learning and excellence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required
• Minimum of three years progressive experience in accounting/finance
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to make independent decisions on routine office activities
• Ability to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction
