Company Description Quantum Advanced Engineering Plastics (Quantum AEP) is a U.S. manufacturer of high-performance plastic stock shapes used to produce precision-machined components. Based in Newark, Delaware, the company serves demanding industries including aerospace, defense, electronics, semiconductor, healthcare, and energy. Role Description Quantum AEP is seeking a hands‑on Finance Manager to oversee the company's financial operations and support strategic decision‑making. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Newark, Delaware. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at both the strategic and transactional levels. This role requires someone who can analyze financial performance, advise leadership, improve systems and controls, and personally handle day‑to‑day accounting and finance activities when needed. Success in this position requires a practical, detail‑oriented mindset and a willingness to work directly with financial data, transactions, reports, and operational teams. This is not solely a supervisory or high‑level planning role. The Finance Manager must be willing to work directly in the details-reviewing transactions, reconciling accounts, investigating variances, improving spreadsheets and reports, working within the ERP system, and helping complete critical accounting tasks. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows issues through to resolution, and is equally comfortable advising leadership and personally doing the work required to produce accurate, timely financial information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA, CMA, or an equivalent professional certification preferred. Several years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Manufacturing, industrial, or engineering‑business experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Experience with manufacturing costs, inventory accounting, product margins, and operational financial analysis is highly desirable. Working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, audit coordination, and financial governance. Proficiency with ERP and financial systems, spreadsheets, and data‑analysis tools. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to translate financial information into clear, practical recommendations for company leadership. Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, sales, and other cross‑functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.
