Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.91 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, maintenance-related access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and completing routine reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
