Make a lasting difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time, contract position for the 2026-2027 school year. Based conveniently near High Point, NC, this on-site opportunity is open to travel professionals from the Charlotte region who have a passion for supporting diverse learners and building inclusive classroom environments.
As a valued member of a dynamic educational team, your expertise and commitment will help guide students to achieve their full potential in a supportive setting.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active North Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification (required for interview consideration)
Experience working in school-based or specialized education settings
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and positive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
Develop, implement, and review IEPs in partnership with families and support staff
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, counselors, and administration
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities
Provide ongoing advocacy and support to ensure student success
