Responsibilities:

• Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Performs direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and physician certification.
• Follows Plan of Care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist and reports any changes in status.
• Adheres to the State Practice Act Guidelines and physicians orders.
• Incorporates patient care goals established in the Plan of Care into therapy sessions.
• Instructs patients and families on the safe use of assistive devices.
• Instructs the patient and/or caregiver in the therapy home program.
• May work irregular hours including call hours if applicable.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• 6+ months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the branch/office coverage area (up to 50%).
• Valid drivers license, dependable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Able to lift and move up to 100 lbs. and handle physically demanding situations.
