Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Tristar Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Telemetry experience required. Post-percutaneous coronary intervention experience required. CPAP management and port access.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessment skills, central lines, and blood transfusions preferred.

Special Requests: Any special scheduling requests must be made with the manager upon arrival at the facility.

Unit Details: Procedures performed on the unit include telemetry monitoring and paracentesis. Uses GE Apex Pro telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen vitals machine, and glucometer. Uses GroupMe for unit communication.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or to PCU to staff telemetry overflow.
