Principal Data Manager, Engineering Services

Job Overview The Principal Data Manager is responsible for managing all data deliverables associated with a contract, including building data tracks in a Product Data Management (PDM) system, reviewing compliance, securing approvals, and delivering information to the customer throughout the contract lifecycle. Location Tucson, Arizona Security Clearance U.S. citizenship is required. An active, transferable DoD Secret clearance is required before the start date. What You Will Do Identify all data deliverables and build corresponding data tracks in the PDM system. Determine appropriate preparers with the Program Office, receive and review data for compliance. Solicit programmatic approval and deliver information to the customer on time throughout the contract lifecycle. Review sub‑tier contractor requirements, build data tracks for supplier submissions, and receive data from suppliers. Route approvals or incorporate data into prime contractor deliverables, and secure non‑deliverable program work products for configuration control in the PDM system. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience; 5 years of professional experience required. Experience with government standards such as EIA‑649, GEIA‑859, and configuration management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Current, active DoD security clearance. Advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience or 9 years of experience if no degree. Ability to interpret scheduling and milestone requirements. Business acumen including planning, forecasting, analytics, negotiation, and influence. Team‑based collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Sense of urgency and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience generating Data Management metrics and reports. Experience estimating, proposing, and managing Data Management cost and schedule on a program. Experience with Windchill or similar PDM tools. Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification with relevant experience. Salary & Benefits Salary range: 86,800USD – 165,200USD.
