Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a cancer hospital, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience, 1 year of travel experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department's Onc Pod within a cancer hospital setting
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
• Floating required
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Utilizes Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Proficient in IV starts
• Experience with telemetry monitoring
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor and the second from a Manager, Director, Supervisor, or Charge RN; co-worker references not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care within a specialized oncology pod setting
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and built into the contract
• Up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted at facility discretion for a 14-week contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict compliance timelines
