Position: Automation Maintenance Technician (Note: Relocation may be required if applying from out of state)

The Objective In this highly independent, safety-sensitive role, you will be the heartbeat of the warehouse's automation system. Your primary mission is to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all automation and mechanical equipmentincluding advanced Shuttles and ASRS cranesensuring maximum uptime and peak efficiency for the logistics team.

What You Will Do

• Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and maintain all automation and auxiliary equipment, including 480V high/low voltage electrical systems, PLCs, electronics, pneumatics/hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

• System Monitoring: Recognize problems and alarms on computerized warehouse monitoring systems and respond rapidly to radio calls from the logistics team.

• Preventative Maintenance: Execute inspections, predictive/preventative maintenance, and accurate documentation (work orders, part requisitions) using CMMS and MS Outlook.

• Technical Problem Solving: Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics, utilize multimeters to verify equipment energy states, and safely execute strict LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.

• Continuous Improvement: Use quality/downtime data and analytical approaches to lead ongoing improvements for equipment, tools, and fixtures.

• Collaboration: Provide direct technical support to vendors and ensure seamless communication and reporting between maintenance personnel and logistics during production downtimes.

What You Bring to the Table

• Education: Minimum 2 years of college coursework toward a Mechatronics degree (or related), OR an Associate degree in science plus a Mechatronics/electro-mechanical certificate.

• Experience: 4+ years in electrical or electro-mechanical fields, including mandatory hands-on experience with 480V electrical wiring and installation .

• Technical Savvy: Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs (user interface intuitiveness), motor drives, and electronic control boards. 3+ years using MS Office.

• Safety First: Deep knowledge of isolating, de-energizing, locking, and tagging out equipment (Permit to Work systems).

• Bonus Qualifications: Arc Flash Certification, knowledge of WMS processes (receiving, picking, replenishment), industrial hydraulic/pneumatic experience, and a basic understanding of Automated Vehicles.

• Eligibility Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, lawful permanent/temporary resident granted amnesty, refugee, or asylee), and willing to relocate if currently living out of state.
