Space Planner/Kitchen Designer

Space Planner - Restaurant Design & Construction A global brand headquartered in Chicago is seeking a Space Planner to support new restaurant development and remodel projects across the country. This is a great opportunity for someone with an architectural background who enjoys space planning, designing efficient layouts, and seeing projects come to life from concept through construction. Responsibilities Support new restaurant construction and renovation projects Create, update, and revise floor plans, elevations, and architectural details using AutoCAD Develop space plans that improve customer flow, employee efficiency, and overall restaurant functionality Coordinate equipment layouts, kitchen designs, service areas, and operational spaces Review shop drawings and collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders Ensure designs comply with ADA requirements and company standards Assist with architectural detailing, redlines, and drawing updates throughout project execution Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Architecture, or a related field 2+ years of AutoCAD experience Experience supporting commercial, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or similar building projects Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
