Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Inspire the next generation by supporting elementary students as a Special Education professional in a dynamic, self-contained classroom setting. This full-time contract opportunity supports 4th–6th grade learners in a classroom of 10–13 students, where you’ll have the autonomy and resources you need to help each child thrive during the 2026–2027 academic year.

Your primary focus will be designing, delivering, and adapting individualized educational programs. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and service providers to meet diverse learner needs. Bilingual professionals are highly encouraged to apply, as your skills will help bridge communication and enrich the learning experience for students and families.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement; additional endorsements in ESL, EC, or SPED are a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field
• Experience leading self-contained special education classrooms
• Skilled at developing and implementing IEPs in coordination with school departments
• Proficient at fostering positive behaviors and academic growth in students with varying exceptionalities
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Bilingual ability is highly valuable

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily instruction and interventions in an elementary, self-contained setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students’ unique needs
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and specialists
• Utilize data-driven decision-making to inform instructional practices
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment
