Job Description UHY Resource Solutions is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and effective internal controls. This role manages the monthly close process, supervises accounting staff, and partners cross-functionally to support business decision-making. Key Focus areas: Manage and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; review work for accuracy and timeliness Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests and deliverables Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with FP&A Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and system implementations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, tax, payroll, and operations Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred) CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar) Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting tools a plus Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Who We Are UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms providing audit, tax, consulting and advisory services to clients primarily in the dynamic middle market.
