Role Summary Cinemark Theatre Managers assist the General Manager in operating the theatre, including duties of a Senior Assistant Manager. The Manager should be on duty when the theatre is open, participate in training, maintenance, cash control, and reporting, and oversee all job functions. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager. Support the General Manager’s decisions in communication with Team Members. Work in all departments and theater job functions. Act as the Manager on Duty in the General Manager’s absence. Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions. Assist in preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Assist with monthly inventories and product orders. Inspect the theater building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, signage, and equipment. Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs. Follow policies and procedures established in Cinemark’s guidelines and enforce them fairly. Report employee relations issues to the General Manager or via when the General Manager is absent. Follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol. Maintain a high work‑ethic standard and code of conduct. Ensure Team Members follow the dress code. Interact with guests to improve service and ensure excellent customer service. Identify and sanitize high‑contact areas for employees and guests. Address safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons. Use Personal Protective Equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 18 years of age. High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Minimum 6 months as an Assistant Manager in a theater environment. Senior Assistant Manager experience preferred. Completion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program and passing the Comprehensive Assessment. Basic food handling training and required local/state certification, health card, or permit. Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol. Flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, holidays; at least 40 hours per week. Regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Excellent guest service skills. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to converse in English. Ability to work both independently and in a team. Ability to take and follow direction. Sense of urgency. Time‑management, organizational, and detail‑orientation. Leadership and training capabilities. Conflict‑resolution skills. Physical And Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater. Noisy environment, moderate to high at times. Ability to stand for extended periods.
