Medical Laboratory Scientist | Part-Time Workplace: On-site Employment Type: Part-time Schedule: Evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays Compensation: $37.84–$58.75 per hour A healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its clinical laboratory team in Portland, Oregon. This role offers the opportunity to perform complex laboratory testing that directly supports patient diagnosis and treatment while working within a collaborative, quality-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Perform complex clinical laboratory testing across multiple laboratory disciplines. Ensure accurate, timely and reliable test results that support patient diagnosis and treatment. Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards and regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with laboratory and clinical teams to maintain high standards of patient care. Support quality improvement, laboratory operations and compliance initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to applicable safety and regulatory standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS-accredited MLS programme or a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological or Clinical Laboratory Sciences. National certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist through an approved professional certification body. At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, or equivalent laboratory experience. Experience working in a moderate- or high-complexity clinical laboratory is preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment. Additional Information This is an on-site, part-time position based in Portland, Oregon. The schedule may include evening and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
