Job Summary Under the guidance of the NW Works Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the oversight of the day‑to‑day operations of the agency, including the implementation of NWW's mission statement, coordination of services, community outreach and marketing, and the creation of a visionary, healthy and productive work environment for clients, employees and staff. Responsibilities Create a Vision and Strategic Plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors, communicate it to all staff, and ensure periodic updates. Work collaboratively with the Board and senior leadership to embody Core Values (Dignity, Respect, Teamwork, Client Focused, and Pursuit of Excellence). Lead the development and execution of financial plans and budgets that secure long‑term success for NWW. Actively engage with clients and staff at all levels to address and follow up on concerns. Maintain personal habits and demeanor appropriate to the reputation of NWW. Refine, update, and maintain a comprehensive enterprise‑wide risk assessment process, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare periodic reports for the Board. Work with the Leadership Team on overall responsibility for individual, team, and organizational development—recruiting, hiring, direction, goal setting, performance evaluation, and more. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated success in leadership, management, communication, and team development, including full profit and loss (P & L) oversight. Ability to work respectfully and effectively with a diverse staff and community, including individuals of varied backgrounds, disabilities, and professional disciplines. Five or more years of senior leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization or similarly mission‑driven environment.
