Compensation: $88,000-$102,000 base plus bonus plan, group health plan and 401(k)

The role, honestly

This is a builder's job. You will be our senior HR person and you will also do the work. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys both setting the direction and rolling up their sleeves to make it happen.

You'll have part-time HR administrative support and work alongside a four-person Management Company team covering Administration, Finance and HR. At the restaurant level, HR work is shared with General Managers, Directors of Operations and Managing Partners. You'll equip them to handle day-to-day questions well.

• Policies and training
• Payroll and tips: oversee multi-state, tipped-employee payroll 
• ADP Workforce Now: be our in-house expert
• Compliance: Spot risk early and escalate before it becomes a problem
• State agency accounts: own our accounts with the labor departments
• Benefits: select plans and lead open enrollment
• Culture: know our people and every one of our restaurants. Spend regular time on the floor in all three cities so managers and staff know you and trust you.

How we work

Our Management Company team brings decades of combined hospitality experience. Three of our four team members have been here since the beginning and the fourth is going on six years. While we each own an area of expertise, we collaborate closely and shape decisions together. It sounds cliche but we truly believe teamwork makes the dream work.

• We run on Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive) and Slack, and keep personnel records in ADP.
• Core hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–6pm, with flexibility for restaurant needs.

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on HR experience, at least 3 in restaurants or hospitality
• Direct experience running payroll for tipped employees
• Resourcefulness and persistence
• Patience and empathy
• Comfort on the phone

Great to have

• 3+ years working in ADP Workforce Now as an administrator
• Experience in a multi-concept, ideally multi-state employer
• A track record of improving HR processes

Strongly preferred

• Led or played a major role in an ADP Workforce Now implementation
• ACA reporting experience (1094-C/1095-C)
• SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR
