Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Join a growing, close-knit organization where your contributions will have a direct impact on company growth and employee success Highly visible HR role with ownership across recruiting, onboarding, employee retention, and HR business partnership Opportunity to build proactive talent pipelines and develop relationships with colleges, universities, and professional networks throughout Ohio 100% employer-paid health insurance, excluding dental and vision 15 days of PTO annually, prorated during the first year Paid federal holidays Hybrid work environment with opportunities to represent the organization at recruiting, campus, and community events What You’ll Do: Own full-cycle recruiting for approximately 18-20 annual hires ranging from entry-level professionals through executive-level positions Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through direct sourcing, headhunting, referrals, cold outreach, professional networks, and other creative recruiting strategies Develop and maintain relationships with colleges and universities throughout Ohio to create sustainable pipelines of early-career talent Represent the organization at job fairs, campus recruiting events, networking opportunities, and community events while promoting career opportunities and strengthening employer visibility Manage candidate screening, interviewing, selection, offer negotiation, and ongoing pipeline development for current and anticipated hiring needs Own and continuously improve the new-hire onboarding program, partnering with hiring managers to create structured and engaging 90-day onboarding experiences Serve as a hands-on HR business partner to leadership on workforce planning, employee relations, hiring strategy, and employee retention Analyze recruiting, turnover, retention, exit interview, and pipeline data to identify trends and develop strategies that improve hiring and employee retention Ensure recruiting, onboarding, and employment practices remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of combined recruiting and Human Resources experience Strong full-cycle recruiting experience supporting positions across multiple levels, including professional and leadership roles Demonstrated success proactively sourcing and engaging passive candidates rather than relying solely on inbound applicants Experience building relationships with colleges and universities and representing an employer at career fairs, campus events, or networking functions Experience developing, managing, or significantly improving employee onboarding programs with a focus on the new-hire experience and retention Ability to serve as a trusted HR partner on workforce planning, employee relations, retention, and broader people initiatives Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage candidates, employees, hiring managers, and senior leadership Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to track and analyze recruiting and retention metrics Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Ohio for recruiting events, campus visits, and networking opportunities Proactive, relationship-focused professional who enjoys recruiting, building programs, and making a measurable impact on organizational growth About Dawson Dawson is a trusted staffing partner in Central Ohio.
