Job Title Student Recruitment Coordinator and Advisor Location Spokane, WA Position Summary As a Student Recruitment Coordinator and Advisor supporting the Elson S.Floyd College of Medicine, you will work closely with the Director of Student Recruitment to develop, implement, and present recruiting strategies and programming. This includes planning, coordinating, and implementing recruitment visits, events, and workshops—both local and distant—for the College of Medicine’s MD program, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology (NEP), Speech and Hearing Sciences (SHS), and Master’s in Health Administration Leadership (MHAL) programs. You will deliver presentations to prospective students and collegiate level advisors, provide academic advising and related activities for prospective applicants, respond to academic inquiries, educate applicants on admission requirements, support the Senior Director of Admissions with interview day preparation and coordination, and assist the Assistant Dean for Healthy Equity with pathway programming and student needs. Key Responsibilities Support the Director of Student Recruitment in developing, implementing, and presenting recruiting strategies and programming. Plan, coordinate, and implement recruitment visits, events, and workshops for the College of Medicine’s MD, NEP, SHS, and MHAL programs. Deliver presentations to prospective students and collegiate level advisors. Provide academic advising and related activities for prospective applicants. Respond to academic inquiries and educate prospective applicants on admission requirements. Support the Senior Director of Admissions with interview day preparation, coordination, data input, and correspondence. Assist the Assistant Dean for Healthy Equity with pathway programming and pathway student needs. Essential Job Functions 55% Student Recruitment Coordination 20% General Admissions Coordination 20% Pathway Program Coordination 5% Other Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience; a Master’s degree may substitute one (1) year of experience. Experience coordinating or supporting admissions, advising, career counseling, financial aid, outreach, recruitment/retention activities in higher education or an equivalent setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to represent the College of Medicine’s programs professionally. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Valid driver’s license and compliance with departmental driving standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience with health professions or medical school recruitment strategies. Public speaking experience. Position Sponsorship Eligibility Not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Compensation and Benefits Monthly salary: $3,750.85 – $5,397.56, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Overtime eligible. Full‑time, permanent position.
