Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a fulfilling role supporting students from PreK through age 22 with diverse communication needs in a school-based setting near North Port, FL. This full-time contract position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working with a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students. You’ll lead speech and language evaluations, deliver direct and consult services, supervise an on-site SLPA, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate on Medicaid compliance and documentation. The majority of the caseload includes students with moderate to severe needs, some of whom may have behavioral challenges, making your expertise and compassion especially valuable.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid or eligible State SLP licensure in Florida
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
• School-based pediatric experience highly desirable
• Experience with moderate to severe disabilities and behavioral needs preferred
• Ability to supervise SLPA staff
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
• Provide direct and consultative therapy using a caseload/workload model
• Supervise and mentor an SLPA within the program
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate Medicaid documentation
• Support students’ individualized education plans through targeted interventions
