Executive Chef

About the Role Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead culinary operations within a large, multi-unit university dining program in Johnson City, Tennessee. This hands-on leadership role will oversee culinary quality, menu development, food production, catering, staff training, food and labor costs, and food safety. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced food service environment and can lead teams while delivering an exceptional dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests. Key Responsibilities Lead daily culinary operations across a large university dining program. Develop menus, recipes, and culinary concepts that meet diverse customer needs. Ensure food quality, recipe compliance, presentation, and production standards. Hire, train, coach, and develop culinary and utility staff. Manage catering operations from planning through execution. Partner with catering, retail, and management teams to deliver high-quality events and services. Manage food costs, labor costs, budgets, and operational performance. Use food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems effectively. Drive culinary innovation and continuous improvement across dining operations. Monitor and maintain HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and physical safety standards. Build strong relationships with customers, clients, staff, and university stakeholders. Support customer satisfaction, brand standards, and overall dining program success. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. 3+ years of management experience in food service or culinary operations. 3+ years of functional experience in restaurants, catering, institutional dining, university dining, or similar food service environments. Demonstrated experience managing food and labor costs , P&L, and budgets. Experience managing catering operations from planning through execution. Experience leading and training culinary teams. Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, and production systems. Strong HACCP and food safety knowledge. Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
