Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join the Cerbat Cliffs Animal Hospital in Kingman, AZ. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high‑quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with clients. You will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff and will collaborate closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager. Why Join Us Salary Range: $140,000 – $185,000 with production bonus plan and no negative accrual option Up to $100,000 sign‑on bonus for a 3‑year commitment Paid time off and holidays Generous relocation assistance Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, disability, liability insurance, 401(k) with company contribution, and reimbursement for CE & license fees Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups Communicate and educate clients about care plans Conduct diagnostic procedures and surgeries Maintain accurate medical records Handle pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols Promote teamwork and staff efficiency Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations Evaluate and monitor protocols for daily hospital operations from intake to discharge Monitor cases and attend daily rounds as needed to uphold high standards Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels Perform other duties assigned by management Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university Current State Veterinary License DEA registration obtained and maintained 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent surgical and dental skills Team‑oriented working style Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care Ability to communicate efficiently with staff and clients Client communication skills: establishing rapport and clarifying medical information Confidence when handling stressed, ill, or painful pets Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderately demanding tasks Flexibility for occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling as needed Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Advanced clinical knowledge and diagnostic experience with cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations Problem‑solving skills for high‑quality practice management Effective client communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options Professionalism and constructive feedback within a veterinary team Business acumen: understanding practice finances and operations Ethical judgment in veterinary decision‑making Commitment to continuing education and facilitating team learning What We Offer Competitive pay range: $140,000 – $185,000 Signing, retention, and relocation packages up to $75,000 Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid parental leave (birth, adoption, foster) 401(k) with discretionary contribution Team member pet discounts Emotional wellbeing support: Calm app access and 24/7 EAP CE stipends and career development resources Grant Circle relief fund for personal hardship Local hospital culture backed by national resources Equal Employment Opportunity PetVet is an equal opportunity employer.
