Sam's Club #6609, 34220 Monterey Ave, Palm Desert, CA 92211-2096. Position Summary Full‑time Café Associate. Hourly pay: $23.00 – $31.00 per hour. Pay may be higher for specific circumstances. Responsibilities Communicate and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners; analyze information from multiple sources; monitor progress and results; identify and address improvement opportunities. Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity; explain and demonstrate how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implement action plans using the Open Door Policy; assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues. Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, information and tools; determine customer needs and business priorities; coordinate and execute work assignments; provide advice, feedback and support to ensure timelines and quality are achieved; model and help others adapt to change or new challenges. Be a Team Leader: supervise the team within the café, manage members’ needs to deliver on the business plan, communicate goals, adhere to policies and advocate for customers, associates and the company. Be an Expert: maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and back‑room operations; ensure the café area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance; manage seasonality, new products, recipes and processes; collaborate with associates and third parties; share knowledge and train the team. Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality; adopt new tools and encourage others. Be an Owner: drive business results by ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a neat, clean and safe work area; manage staffing levels, audit and compliance standards; produce and display merchandise according to layout plans; engage with other departments and third‑party partners. Be a Talent Ambassador: teach and train the team by identifying training needs, developing necessary skills, encouraging career growth, and sourcing new talent internally and externally.
