Position Details Position: Sales Clerk Location: Cape Canaveral, FL – Exchange Schedule: Part Time (20-29 hrs/wk) Pay: $15.00 per hour Opening Date: 15 June 2026 Closing Date: Until Filled Responsibilities Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with merchandise selection. Respond promptly to customer concerns with a sense of importance. Sell merchandise and provide exceptional customer service, including demonstration and explanation of technical features. Perform periodic stock counts and participate in inventories. Replenish stock and maintain merchandise in a neat, presentable condition. Advise supervisor/department head of customer requests. Receive cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and gift cards and give change accurately using the cash register. Maintain accurate sales records, turn in sales records and money at the end of each shift, and account for all sales and items. Perform price changes for various departments, including markdowns or mark-ups and set company promotions. Use proper display and signage, changing item labels as needed. Follow all policies regarding Loss Prevention and remain aware of shrink and the Alert Line. Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements. Work required weekends. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Potential to stock merchandise, assist patrons, and operate a cash register, demonstrated by the ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature. Proficiency in arithmetic (capable of counting, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing for stocking and inventory purposes), evidenced by high school coursework, a GED, or a high school diploma. Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Preferred Qualifications Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience.
