Laboratory Assistant (Workflow Coordinator)

UL Solutions is looking for a Laboratory Assistant (Workflow Coordinator) with occasional testing needs within the Analytical Chemistry lab.

Responsibilities

• Collects samples from sample cage following appropriate SOPs and sample handling guidelines.
• Prepares samples for testing utilizing reference materials.
• Coordinates testing of samples between project owners and testers.
• Communicates continually with project owners regarding issues, timelines, etc.
• Maintains sample chain of custody within LIMS and within lab as able
• Performs wet chemistry testing as needed such as pH, specific gravity, percent ash, etc.
• Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must.

Total Rewards

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $36,400 to $48,500 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
