Accounting Clerk

Brief Description Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. The Accounting Clerk will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. Ultimately, a successful accounting clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively. Responsibilities Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements Reconcile accounts in a timely manner Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense, vouchers, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs Compile data and prepare a variety of reports Reconcile records with internal company employees and management or external vendors or companies Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies Investigate questionable data Daily enter key data of financial transactions into database Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws Constantly update job knowledge Data Entry Top Skills & Proficiencies Multi-tasks & Organization Skills Accuracy & Attention to detail Filing & Record Keeping Efficient Computer skills & Attention to details Time Management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
