Team Red Dog is hiring a Business Operations & Marketing Operations Lead for our client, a global technology leader and digital transformation leader. This high-visibility role sits at the intersection of B2B digital marketing, business operations, program management, and AI-enabled automation, helping teams deliver connected customer experiences across web, email, paid campaign landing experiences, and in-product channels. You will optimize business processes, lead strategic initiatives, build operational infrastructure, and provide leadership with the insights and governance needed to scale effectively. Your work will directly support Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs and improve how cross-functional teams plan, prioritize, and execute high-impact digital marketing initiatives. 

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. B2B Digital Marketing & Web Marketing Operations – 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting commercial web, campaign landing experiences, content workflows, ABM, or customer journey programs.
2. Business Operations, Program Management & Process Optimization – 5+ years leading workflow design, intake governance, process documentation, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional initiatives.
3. Microsoft Business & Project Management Tools – 3+ years using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, and project management platforms such as ClickUp, Asana, or Smartsheet to manage workflows, reporting, planning, and collaboration.
4. AI & Automation – Demonstrated experience evaluating and applying AI tools, automation, or AI-powered analytics to streamline business processes, improve decision-making, and increase operational efficiency.

 

Opportunity Overview:

This is a high-visibility opportunity to help shape how a connected commercial digital marketing organization scales and operates. The role brings together digital marketing, business operations, AI-enabled automation, executive communications, and strategic program management, with the opportunity to influence operating models across Windows and Surface commercial digital experiences. You will partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to improve planning and execution, establish durable processes and playbooks, increase visibility, reduce operational friction, and enable measurable business impact.

How you will make an impact:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes supporting marketing execution, resource planning, and performance tracking.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and lead cross-functional initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and process optimization.
• Leverage AI tools and platforms to automate routine tasks, improve operational efficiency, and enhance decision-making.
• Manage operational tools and systems supporting workflow management, reporting, and collaboration, including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Develop and maintain playbooks, process documentation, training resources, and cross-functional process guides.
• Document and maintain end-to-end business processes to ensure clarity, consistency, accessibility, and adoption across teams.
• Partner with leadership on annual and quarterly business planning, goal setting, headcount planning, and budget alignment.
• Lead operational reviews and business rhythm activities, including QBRs, MBRs, and leadership reviews.
• Track and report on KPIs, OKRs, strategic initiatives, and operational performance.
• Use AI-driven insights and predictive analytics to support strategic planning and performance tracking.
• Support vendor and contract management, including onboarding, compliance, and performance tracking.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by providing operational insights and recommendations.
• Lead and participate in pilots focused on innovation, automation, and operational improvements.
• Own and manage the Rhythm of Business (RoB) calendar, including planning and execution of QBRs, MBRs, and leadership reviews.
• Develop and deliver executive-level communications, business updates, strategic plans, and performance summaries.
• Collaborate with digital marketing channel managers, customer journey managers, data and analytics managers, and cross-functional delivery teams to align priorities and drive execution.

The expertise you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or marketing operations, including support for executive-level initiatives; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3–4 years of hands-on digital marketing experience in a B2B environment.
• Strong experience in business operations, program management, marketing operations, or strategic communications.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across organizational lines and levels.
• Experience leading virtual teams and building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Executive presence with the ability to gain leadership buy-in and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority by understanding stakeholder priorities and driving alignment toward shared goals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of B2B digital marketing workflows, particularly within ABM environments.
• Experience evaluating and implementing AI solutions that support automation, personalization, efficiency, and business decision-making.
• Experience using AI-powered analytics tools to derive insights and inform business strategy.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, tools, and platforms relevant to business operations and marketing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, and project management platforms such as ClickUp, Asana, or Smartsheet.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to organize, delegate, monitor progress, manage risk, and drive quality and consistency.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to maintaining a high bar for customer experience.
• Experience in a digital marketing, technology, or enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting ABM programs in a B2B or enterprise marketing environment is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or HubSpot and CRM systems such as Salesforce is preferred.
• Experience with financial planning, headcount management, or vendor operations is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification is a plus.
• MBA or advanced degree in business, operations, or a related field is a plus.
