Medical Social Worker

Role Overview: The Medical Social Worker applies social work expertise and clinical knowledge to support patients living with kidney disease, focusing on education, treatment options, and wellness to improve their quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in care planning, and manage services to help patients cope with chronic kidney disease and dialysis treatments. Support patients' social and emotional well-being and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized care. Qualifications and Skills: Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution; licensure such as LCSW/ACSW preferred, with required licensure in some states. Preferable experience in healthcare or behavioral settings, with medical experience highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills, goal-oriented attitude, and a compassionate approach are essential.
