Assistant Project Manager/Assistant Owner's Project ManagerPMA has immediate openings for a full-time multi-year position of Assistant Project Manager/Assistant Owner's Project Manager to support major building rehabilitation, sustainability, and/or new construction projects in the Central Massachusetts area. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing PMA OPM team and be physically located on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects through all phases in a project life cycle, from inception to close-out.Organizational ResponsibilitiesSolicitation of Request for Qualifications (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) for both Design Consultants and General ContractorsPrepare, coordinate, and review consultant and/or General Contractor RFQs/RFPsAssist in coordinating and securing all necessary internal and external project approvalsProvide technical and professional assistance in ranking and evaluating proposalsDrive the contract and fee negotiation process for A/Es or GCsWork in conjunction with the consultants during the design phase to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and scheduleManages the consultant, contractor, and engineering services during the construction phaseManages the various key stakeholders and project participants through construction and project completionCoordinate and communicate with the project stakeholdersProvides supervision and technical guidance to assistant project managers, engineers, resident engineers and support staff on assigned projectsResponsible for the project schedule and project budget, in tandem, through all phases of the project's life cyclePosition QualificationsBachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field required.0+ years of related experience working as part of a project team.Experience in project design and construction elements strongly preferred.Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, as necessary, required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and understand plans and specifications, are required.An exceptional ability to remain organized and handle multiple action items simultaneously is required.Proficiency in using MS Excel and managing MS SharePoint.Proficiency in MS Office and MS Teams required.Working knowledge of PMWeb or Procore preferredWorking knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar software preferred.Ability to pass a security background check requiredExperience and working knowledge of the Massachusetts public bidding process and public bidding laws preferred (i.e. MGL Ch. 25A, 149, 149A)$83,470 - $103,700 a year The salary range for this position is $83,470 to $103,700.
