An opportunity for a pharmacist licensed in California to support a 250-bed hospital in Redding, CA, offers a contract position with potential for temp-to-hire. The role involves working a flexible schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, covering variable days and afternoons, ideal for those seeking dynamic work hours.
Key responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting closely with physicians and nurses, and engaging in pharmacokinetics. Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems is essential to manage the hospital’s pharmaceutical operations effectively.
Ideal candidates are licensed pharmacists in California who are open to travel and eager to work in northern regions. A positive attitude and strong communication skills are important for collaboration with the healthcare team. Completion of a PGY1 residency is highly desirable, supporting advanced clinical expertise.
Location: Redding, CA – a regional healthcare setting providing diverse clinical experiences.
Schedule:

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license
- Experience with Cerner and Omnicell systems
- Proven ability to supervise pharmacy technicians
- Excellent interpersonal skills for consulting with medical staff
