Position Overview

Title:  Patient Registrar

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11215

Duration: 13-26 Weeks Contracts

Pay Range: $20-$23/hr W2

 

Job Summary:

The Patient Registrar is responsible for managing patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification to ensure smooth front desk and administrative operations. This role involves collecting accurate patient demographics, verifying insurance coverage, processing authorizations for imaging or medication, and supporting billing accuracy. The position also requires providing excellent customer service and assisting patients with inquiries regarding appointments and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clerical or patient registration experience; 4+ years preferred.
• Experience with prior authorizations, insurance verification, and patient scheduling.
• Proficiency with EPIC or other EHR systems required.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic coding (ICD-9, CPT-4) preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential information and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
