Position Patient Registrar - Admitting - Evening: Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. Record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. Details This is a full-time Evening (3:00 PM– 11:00 PM) position rotating both Weekends and Holidays at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY. Responsibilities Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments; obtain demographic details and insurance information; ensure proper scheduling. Record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization for patients. Be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. Qualifications Knowledge of hospital procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology. Completed some college coursework and familiarity with health insurance requirements. Epic Experience. Qualified candidates have at least one year of clerical experience with a high school diploma or GED. Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first. Detail oriented, able to problem solve and work independently. Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties on demand; willingness to cover all areas as needed.
