About the Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Help Desk Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide technical support to employees both onsite and remotely, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, network, and system-related issues. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a variety of technologies while supporting end users in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, networking, and system issues for local and remote users.
• Log, track, update, and resolve support requests within the Kaseya ticketing system.
• Communicate with end users via phone, email, and in person to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Verify issue resolution with users and document solutions before closing support tickets.
• Create, modify, and maintain user accounts and access permissions.
• Configure, install, and support desktop computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Set up and manage printers and print queues across multiple systems.
• Assist with the administration of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and related user management tools.
• Support and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, including deployment and troubleshooting.
• Administer phone and voicemail systems, including adds, moves, changes, and troubleshooting.
• Test, install, and upgrade operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
• Generate, print, and distribute system and operational reports as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Prioritize workload effectively while managing user expectations and service levels.
• Travel to remote locations as needed to provide onsite technical support.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours incidents and scheduled maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing Help Desk, Service Desk, or Technical Support in a professional environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and networking.
• Experience working with ticketing systems and documenting technical issues.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and user account administration.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN environments and basic networking concepts.
• Experience supporting phone systems and voice mail administration.
• Familiarity with IT service management best practices.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation as needed

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Powell, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
