Line Cook/Prep Cook

Line CookPosition Summary: Line Cook is responsible for ensuring a high standard of food quality and presentation. Must be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for food and a keen eye for detail. They are responsible for each station's workflow and getting meals out on time. They oversee the cooking process from start to finish and determine how much time each step requires. They must know all the steps for their station to time their food preparation steps correctly. They must prepare food and components to be ready for cooking by frying, grilling, baking, or sautéing. They must set up and stock their cooking area with all the essential items.· Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.· Prepare food for service (chop vegetables, butcher meat, or prepare sauces).· Follow Executive Chef's recipes and instructions.· Stock inventory appropriately according to par levels.· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, of high quality and in a timely manner.· Ensure promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.· Organize kitchen for effective work environment.· Effective communication to ensure smooth operations in the kitchen.· Perform other responsibilities as required or directed.Qualifications/Skills/Education/Certifications/Experience:· Maintain cordial and effective relationships with co-workers, vendors, and other business contacts.· Knowledgeable of back of house operations· Effectively interacts with others by utilizing excellent communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information as needed, to achieve the business goals of the organization.· Ability to build strong relationships/alliances with all team members.· Excellent time management skills.· Strong interpersonal skills.· Professional verbal and written skills.· Current Driver License.· Current Food Handlers Certification.· High School Diploma or equivalency determined by management.· At least one year of previous cooking experience in fine dining.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.· Position may involve occasional periods of lifting of up to 50 lbs.· The employee is frequently required to sit and stand for extended periods of time.· Position requires high mobility.Chandler Hospitality Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, gender identity, genetics, or veteran status.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:· Employee discount· Flexible scheduleWork Location: In person
