Service Technician

PurposePerform basic diagnostics, service repair and maintenance work on customer and dealership owned turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, or other technicians.Essential DutiesPerforms basic diagnostics and repairs on customer equipmentParticipates in all training programs offered by the dealershipMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsEnsures all department tools and equipment are in good working orderAssists in maintaining a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionAccounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned dutiesFollow all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbookSkills & Qualifications1+ years experience in performing service repairsAbility to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresProficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmentAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesProficient oral and written communication skillsAbility to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedlyBasic Service Technician certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredValid drivers license is requiredFork lift license preferredOther duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr Minnesota Equipment Inc
