Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Registered Nurse – Orthopedic/Neuro Trauma

Shift: 12-hour nights

Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week

Daily census: ~32 patients

Minimum of 2 years RN experience within the last 5 years

Active RN license required (NC or Compact pending acceptable for submittal)

BLS certification required

Epic documentation experience required

Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Clinical skills required: IV starts/maintenance, peripheral/central/PICC line care, heparin drips, PCA, blood product administration, phlebotomy, dysrhythmia management, non-invasive airway support, O2 protocols, trach care, suctioning, chest tubes, surgical drains, colostomy care, feeding tube management, wound care

Provide comprehensive care for patients with orthopedic and neuro trauma

Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans

COVID-19 vaccine: Not required

Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Must complete pre-start modules (acute care ~8–10 hours) prior to start

RTO after booking is not allowed; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
