Do you love animals? Techstaff has an immediate assignment available at the County Pet Resource Center! We expect this assignment to last 5 months with a possible extension. Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00.

Duties and Responsibilities

Note: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.

·         Receiving the mail, opening, sorting, date-stamping, and delivering it to the proper recipients or placing it in the correct mailboxes.

·         Confirming and signing daily cash, CC, and check deposits for 161 & 162.

·         Respond to doorbell alerts and direct guests as appropriate. Acts as the first point of contact for visitors.

·         Return postcards from USPS – Research address, contact citizen, update in Chameleon.

·         Receive and check incoming packages against invoices or packing slips to ensure accuracy and completeness.

·         Process Change of Address reports to ensure accurate and up-to-date records (Use USPS and other resources available).

·         Fixing the Conflicting Customer-Provided Data Report in Chameleon. Verifying against the rabies certificate.

·         The MidFlorida Armored Car company picks up the daily deposits each day. After they sign the manifest for each deposit, you have to make a copy and give it to the accounting clerk.

·         Inventory the office supply cabinet, the admin breakroom supplies, and the admin area. Send items needing to be ordered to the storekeeper and the accounting clerk.

·         Print daily calendars for the conference room and the training room.

·         Keep the admin area clean and clutter-free.

·         Put donations away in various locations.

·         Assist storekeeper in putting away any large shipments.

·         Assist with receiving deliveries in the back, such as food, litter, Grainger, etc. 

·         Processing the spay and neuter vouchers from USPS in Chameleon and mailing them back out to citizens.

·         Create PRC Donation letters and give them to Director of PRC to sign. After they are signed, mail them out to the citizens.

·         Update Chameleon Records

·         Assist with filing of rabies certificates

·         Weekly vehicle checks (gas, cleanliness, washing, etc.)

·         Assist with corrections on spay/neuter vouchers

·         Insert online and mail in Tags in envelopes and then put in mail

·         Follow up (e mail or call)  online Tag applications

Job Requirements

·         Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

·         Ability to maintain and file records.

·         Ability to proofread their own work.

·         Ability to perform accurate computations and verification of data.

·         Ability to follow oral and written instructions and the ability to work effectively with others.

·         Knowledge of and ability to perform data processing, word processing, and other office equipment.

·         Ability to type, prioritize work, and perform other clerical duties such as filing, answering the phone, and compiling figures for routine reports.

·         Ability to use a computer and related software.

Physical Requirements

·         Position typically operates in a professional office environment.

·         Requires an employee to be mostly sedentary.

·         May require an incumbent to lift boxes to 30 pounds, open filing cabinets, and bend/stand as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications Required

·         Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; AND

·         Two (2) years of clerical experience; OR

·         An equivalent combination of education (not less than possession of a high school diploma/GED), training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above.
