Job Title Assistant/Associate Professor, Nursing Ph.D. DNP Location Canyon, Texas Job Summary The Laura & Joe Street School of Nursing is searching for a Nurse PhD: Associate or Assistant Professor. This eleven-month appointment involves teaching undergraduate nursing courses, both theory and clinical, commensurate with expertise and education. Opportunity for other faculty roles and responsibilities are also provided. Work Performed Teach undergraduate nursing courses, both theory and clinical. Utilize the online learning management system, WTClass. Advise students currently in the undergraduate nursing program. Serve on departmental and University committees (if elected). Attend monthly Faculty/Staff Organization Committee meetings. Demonstrate productivity in scholarly activity, if hired in a tenure-track position. Work day shift, evening shift, and/or 12-hour shift in local hospitals. Other duties as assigned. Necessary Qualifications A Master’s degree in Nursing is required for an Instructor position. Candidates obtaining a Master’s by December 2025 will be considered. FNP certification is required. A current unencumbered license or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas. Ability to instruct students in a variety of courses and clinical situations. Ability to develop teaching materials. Ability to work effectively as a member of the team. Preferred Qualifications A doctoral degree in nursing or a related field. If the doctorate is in a related field, a Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
