Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager for DDC controls in the Northern Virginia area to support building automation projects on large HVAC and energy management systems.

Impact

  • Keep control projects aligned with specs, schedules, and budgets.
  • Make integration with HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems go smoothly.
  • Be the link that keeps clients, subs, and field teams talking.

Responsibilities

  • Help plan, coordinate, and manage DDC control projects.
  • Work with senior project managers, engineers, and technicians on design and installation.
  • Develop and manage layouts, schematics, and submittals in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Assist with commissioning, including programming and testing BACnet and Tridium Niagara systems.
  • Resolve project issues quickly between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Must-Haves

  • Two or more years in commercial mechanical construction or controls, focused on building automation or DDC.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, and Metasys.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Technical certification in building automation.
  • Field experience on live commissioning.

Compensation and Logistics
