CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer$23.00-$31.00/hour1st Shift7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)QPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer for a company in Rockford, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Verify that all products produced meet customer specifications and is in accordance with company quality standardsPerform advanced set-up and operation of CNC lathes, including Haas and Daewoo machinesProgram from print, edit programs at the control, and select proper tooling and workholdingSet up and run live-tooling and Y-axis lathe work, including drilling, milling, tapping, and related operationsRead blueprints, use gages, verify dimensions, and ensure parts meet customer and company quality standardsWork independently as a self-starter to keep machines running, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production flowProvide assistance to co-workers as needed, in the spirit of teamwork, with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer requirementsAll other duties as assigned by a supervisorCNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 5 years of CNC lathe set-up and operating experienceMust have experience with live tooling, Y-axis lathes, and programming from printHaas and Daewoo experience strongly preferredMust be able to work independently and keep machines running with limited supervisionQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
