CNC Machinist

A manufacturing organization is seeking a talented CNC Machinist to manufacture parts according to engineering drawings, maintain raw material inventory, and perform preventative maintenance on machining equipment. This role is based in a modern, clean, safe, and climate-controlled manufacturing environment focused on producing high-quality equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate and program Haas CNC mills and lathes safely and efficiently.
• Plan machining processes by interpreting detailed blueprints, work orders, and GD&T specifications.
• Download, edit, and verify CNC programs, including setting tool offsets, reference points, and compensation.
• Perform calculations involving basic math, geometry, and trigonometry to validate machining requirements.
• Verify machine settings through first-piece inspections and sample workpiece measurements.
• Collaborate with engineering on research and development projects.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a custom machine shop environment.
• Experience operating Haas CNC equipment preferred but not required.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments independently.
• Ability to perform machine setups and produce quality parts with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork skills and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
