Assistant Project Manager

A full-service general contracting firm located just outside of Overland Park, KS. They focus primarily multifamily and commercial projects, up to $40M in value. Job Description

Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating multifamily construction projects from start to finish. Work closely with project managers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project requirements are understood and met. Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders. Review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies on construction sites. Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation plans. Support the team in resolving any issues that may arise during the construction process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of construction experience in the general contracting space
A strong understanding of construction project management principles and practices.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
