Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Opportunity

Position Overview

LifeMotion Physical Therapy and Balance Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. This full-time, onsite position focuses on delivering exceptional rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population, facilitating their recovery and helping them achieve optimal mobility and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and physical assessments to identify each patient's unique needs and goals.
• Design, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans using evidence-based methods to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and advanced rehabilitation protocols.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment options, recovery processes, and best practices for self-care, encouraging active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records, documenting progress notes and treatment outcomes to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient demographic, which includes individuals recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with people of all ages, from children to seniors, tailoring each program to their specific rehabilitation needs and desired outcomes. This role allows you to make a significant impact on the daily lives of your patients as you guide them toward greater mobility and a return to their everyday activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• A valid and current Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred, although we welcome applications from new graduates who demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic practice is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various rehabilitation technologies and therapeutic modalities.
• Ongoing involvement in professional development activities, such as attending workshops or obtaining further specialty certifications, is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance.
