Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical operations within a fast-paced outpatient setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills, professionalism, and the ability to provide compassionate support to patients and families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medical history, and documentation in the electronic health record
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and clinical workflows
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure a clean and safe environment
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and state regulations
• Support patient education, follow-up instructions, and care coordination
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and documentation
• Manage patient scheduling, referrals, and communication with internal teams
• Maintain compliance with all clinical policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications include:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
• Current Medical Assistant certification or eligibility, depending on state requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and clinical staff
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in an outpatient, primary care, or specialty clinic setting
• Familiarity with clinical workflows, patient triage, and provider support
• Experience with rooming patients, administering injections, and assisting with minor procedures
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
