Actuarial Analyst

DESCRIPTION •Has in-depth knowledge in actuarial discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines •Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions •Works independently; receives minimal guidance •May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives •Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience •Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes •Typically resolves complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist | Often leads the work of small project teams; may formally train junior staff •Works independently •Willing and able to consult with clients on a regular basis #LI-DA2 QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or math preferred, or equivalent education and/or experience with emphasis in math, accounting, or finance required. • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) preferred •Minimum of five years’ analytical experience preferred. •General understanding of enterprise risk management methods and processes preferred. •Ability to compile, analyze, present, and interpret complex financial and statistical information to facilitate decision making. •Must have the ability to summarize results in written form. •Strong understanding and application of accounting principles and experience in the interpretation of financial statements. •High skill in using computer application software for financial modeling, statistical analysis, spreadsheet calculations, word processing, and other analyses. •Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed. •Above average verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. •Strong attention to detail required. •Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night. •Legally able to work in the United States #J-18808-Ljbffr
