Kern Segal & Murray – Associate Attorney Position

Daly City civil litigation firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney (0-3 years experience) to begin work immediately. Our firm has a broad range of practice areas, mainly personal injury and construction defect insurance defense.

We are looking for a self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced and detail oriented environment.

The position will provide a substantial amount of responsibility with an appropriate level of supervision.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• drafting pleadings and correspondence
• taking and defending depositions
• working with clients on day-to-day advice and counsel inquiries
• handling a large caseload
• drafting discovery
• document review
• attending court hearings

Qualifications:

• applicants must be licensed in California for the Associate position
• post-bar applicants awaiting bar results will have an opportunity to move into an Associate position once sworn in
• detail-oriented
• an ability to work independently
• strong communication and writing skills

Experience or interest in Construction Defect, litigation, and/or public entity defense is a plus.

Salary Range: $100,000+ depending on experience.

Full benefits (HSA, medical and dental) after 3 months of employment
