Restoration Network is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on accounting position responsible for helping maintain the financial accuracy and health of our company.

This is not an entry-level bookkeeping position. We're looking for someone with a strong accounting foundation who understands the why behind the numbers and is comfortable taking ownership, investigating discrepancies, and helping improve financial processes.

IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION

This is a full-time, on-site position at our office in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

This position is not remote or hybrid.

We value having this role integrated with our leadership and operations teams, where questions can be answered quickly, and our accounting team can understand what's happening within the business—not just what's appearing in the books.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$65,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience

Candidates with significant accounting experience and experience in construction, restoration, job costing, or project-based accounting may qualify toward the upper end of the range.

Compensation:

$65,000 – $80,000 annually

Responsibilities: WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As our Staff Accountant, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day accounting operations of Restoration Network and the accuracy of our financial reporting.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining accurate general ledger activity

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight

• Bank and credit card reconciliations

• Preparing and posting journal entries

• Assisting with and performing month-end closing procedures

• Reviewing balance sheet accounts and reconciling discrepancies

• Monitoring AR aging and assisting with collection efforts

• Reviewing AP and upcoming financial obligations

• Maintaining accurate vendor and financial records

• Assisting with cash-flow reporting and forecasting

• Preparing financial reports for ownership and management

• Reviewing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports for accuracy

• Helping monitor job costs and financial performance by project

• Identifying accounting discrepancies and researching their cause

• Maintaining clean, accurate records within QuickBooks Online

• Working with outside accounting/CPA partners as needed

• Assisting with year-end accounting preparation

• Developing and improving accounting procedures and internal controls

• Providing leadership with accurate financial information to support business decisions

Because we're a restoration company, you'll also become familiar with the financial lifecycle of our projects, from work being performed and costs incurred to invoicing, collections, and final profitability.

Qualifications: WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who brings a strong accounting foundation and can confidently take ownership of their responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 3–5+ years of hands-on accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles

• Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close

• Strong AP and AR knowledge

• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations

• Experience reading and understanding financial statements

• Strong QuickBooks Online experience

• Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• The ability to identify and independently research discrepancies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE...

Experience with construction, restoration, job costing, project-based accounting, or the skilled trades is a major plus.

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but we also value substantial hands-on accounting experience.
