Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (Days/Nights) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Expected 48 hours/week | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Neuro ICU setting, managing a population that includes stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Perform thorough neurological assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Assist with bolt and drain bedside placements in collaboration with the neurosurgery team
• Monitor and manage patients with EVDs and ICP monitoring devices
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and Med/Surg ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC (required)

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with a strong background in Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU; strong neuro assessment skills required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required ; candidate must also be prepared to complete an EKG exam during compliance onboarding

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 prior travel assignment preferred
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist is a plus
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment
