Fitness Education & Content Writer -Orangetheory Fitness

This role is part of Orangetheory’s Coach Development & Experience Team.Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City and The Bar Method, is seeking a Fitness Education & Content Writer to join its Orangetheory Fitness team. The ideal candidate is an experienced fitness professional who understands how to coach movement, cue effectively, and translate exercise science into practical coaching guidance, and who can turn that expertise into clear, engaging written content.Strong writing and editing skills are essential to success in this role. The position is primarily focused on writing and developing fitness education content, including daily workout education, exercise science resources, coaching guidance, and broader educational materials for Orangetheory coaches.The ideal candidate will also have experience educating, mentoring, or developing other fitness professionals and will contribute to the continued evolution of Orangetheory's coach education, curriculum, and content, including emerging video and digital formats.Reporting to the Director of Fitness, the Fitness Education & Content Writer creates high-quality fitness education content and resources that help Orangetheory coaches deliver exceptional workouts and member experiences. This role serves as a subject matter expert in exercise science and coaching while contributing to broader coach education initiatives, curriculum development, and the evolution of how fitness education is delivered across the Orangetheory network.Key ResponsibilitiesFitness Education Content & WritingWrite and edit daily fitness education content for Orangetheory's workout programming, including exercise science, coaching cues, movement considerations, modifications, progressions, and strategies for bringing each workout to life.Independently manage a high volume of recurring fitness education content while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and Orangetheory brand standards.Develop broader fitness education articles, resources, and educational materials that support coach knowledge and development.Translate technical exercise science and coaching concepts into clear, practical, engaging content for fitness professionals.Edit and refine existing educational content to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Orangetheory's coaching philosophy and brand voice.Write within established brand standards and voice while ensuring fitness education content is engaging and relevant to Orangetheory coaches.Coach Education & DevelopmentContribute to the development and evolution of coach education frameworks, curriculum, tools, and resources.Create educational materials that strengthen coaches' ability to effectively coach movement, communicate with members, and deliver the Orangetheory experience.Apply a strong understanding of exercise science and group fitness coaching to identify educational opportunities and develop practical solutions for coaches.Support the development of resources and programming that help coaches continue to grow their skills and expertise.Partner with the Director of Fitness and broader Fitness team to maintain and evolve coaching standards and educational content.Video & Digital ContentWrite scripts and supporting content for coach education videos, social media segments, and other digital fitness education.Contribute ideas for modernizing and expanding how Orangetheory delivers fitness education, including video and other digital formats.Support larger fitness events and video production initiatives as needed.Partnerships & CollaborationPartner with internal teams, including Workout Design & Experience, Learning & Development, Fitness Support, and regional teams, to ensure educational content meets network needs.Support relationships with external certification and education partners.Collaborate cross-functionally on fitness education initiatives, projects, and special programs.What We're Looking ForRequiredExceptional written communication and content development skills, with the ability to independently write, edit, and develop high-quality fitness education content for fitness professionals.Strong foundation in exercise science, demonstrated through a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field and/or advanced, nationally recognized fitness certifications.5+ years of professional fitness experience, including meaningful experience coaching group fitness.Strong understanding of movement, exercise technique, coaching cues, modifications, and progressions.Current nationally accredited personal training and/or group exercise fitness certification.CPR/AED certification.Ability to translate exercise science and coaching expertise into clear, practical, and engaging educational content while writing within established brand standards and voice.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content projects and deadlines independently.What’s in it for you?We offer a competitive salary along with exceptional benefits such as:Medical, Dental and Vision CoverageHybrid Work EnvironmentLife and Disability InsuranceUnlimited Time off + Paid HolidaysFlexible Friday's between Memorial Day and Labor Day401(K) Savings Plan Matching at 4%10 Coaching and Therapy sessionsMental Health BenefitsBrand Discounts & ReimbursementsIn-house workout facilitiesProfessional Development OpportunitiesTeam Building, Employee Engagement Activities & so much moreWORK SCHEDULEPurpose Brands LLC, currently observe the following hybrid work model for employees at our Boca Raton (FL), Woodbury (MN), and Seattle (WA) offices:Remote optional: FridaysOn-site days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and ThursdaysDIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION STATEMENTPurpose Brands is committed to encouraging, facilitating, and upholding an environment centered on diversity, equity, and inclusion across every facet of the Purpose Brands.
