Sr Manager, Clinical Services

The Division of Women's Mental Health within the Center for the Transition to Parenthood in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a Psychiatric Social Worker (LCSW or LMHC) to play a key role in shaping our integrated, insurance-based, mental health program via the overall management of the intake/assessment process and provision of evidenced-based psychotherapies for patients in the department. Our ideal candidate will have a keen interest in women's mental health across the life course and/or experience with a perinatal population; have significant psychotherapy experience as well as an investment in the practice of it; be a team player yet also confident in their ability to make independent clinical judgments for the team if necessary; be well organized and enthusiastic about a role as 'the face of the program' in terms of point of contact for clinical staff, patients, and referring providers. Must have experience relevant to the role of managing high volume of referrals and the supervision of the assessment process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical management of referral and initial assessment workflows, partnering with the Division Chief to ensure standardized processes, operational efficiency, and a high-quality, patient-centered experience.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for program referrals, coordinating patient screenings, managing intake and referral workflows, and facilitating timely care coordination and access to services.
• Manage referral workflows by tracking patient referrals and dispositions, coordinating communication with referring providers, collaborate with clinical departments to facilitate emergency services when required.
• Lead and supervise a team of mental health providers by providing clinical guidance, performance management, and support to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and achievement of program goals.
• Provide short-term psychotherapeutic (up to six months postpartum when needed) to patients across the lifespan with diverse mental health concerns. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions to meet evolving clinical needs while promoting emotional well-being and recovery.
• Participating in peer supervision, discuss complex cases, receive and provide constructive feedback, and remain current with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and best practices in behavioral health care.
• Partner with division leadership to develop and contribute to quality improvement projects, workflow optimization, and the expansion of innovative clinical services within the division.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members, including administrative staff, psychology, nursing, and social work trainees, and research personnel.
• Engage with community partners to expand resource networks, enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, and improve patient outcomes.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to psychology/behavioral health trainees. Support the development of clinical competencies through direct observation, case consultation, feedback, and guidance in evidence-based assessment, intervention, ethical practice, and professional conduct.
• Act as liaison with sponsoring educational institutions to coordinate administrative processes for clinical training experiences within the View email address on click.appcast.io service.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical record documentation and complete charge capture and billing activities in accordance with institutional policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, institutional policies and patient safety standards.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience plus 4 years of related experience required.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• 4+ years experience post clinical licensing, providing psychotherapy.
• Past work within health systems in coordinating/leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to direct work, drive change and effectively collaborate.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years recent psychotherapy experience with individual supervision.
• OBGYN/women's health experience preferred.
• Well versed at managing peers and monitoring operational processes.

Other Requirements

• Upon hire, candidate will take all appropriate training including but not limited to EPIC, CPSC, and all compliance trainings.
• If the candidate fails to pass the training modules, then access will not be granted or if previously granted will be revoked.
• Additional trainings or continuing education may be required at manager's discretion.
